Our tips

Transportation

Parking

  1. Park early — parking fills up fast
Main resort parking areas (Lúčky, Biela Púť, Záhradky) fill early on busy days. Arrive before 9:00 AM to guarantee a spot.
  2. Use Lúčky as your best starting point
It’s the largest and most convenient parking area with good shuttle connections and fast access to the slopes.
  3. Stay slope-side for zero commuting
If you can, book accommodation directly in Jasná — many hotels offer ski-in/ski-out or are right next to the lifts, saving you time every morning.

By Car

  1. Arrive by car for maximum flexibility
Jasná is easiest to reach by car, and driving lets you explore both Chopok North and South at your own pace.
  2. Check weather & road conditions
Mountain weather changes quickly — winter tires and chains are essential. Check conditions before driving up to the resort.
  3. Use Google Maps or Waze for real-time navigation
Navigation apps work well in the area and help you avoid traffic jams on peak days.

Public Transport

  1. Consider taxis or hotel shuttles
Local taxis and hotel-run transfers are convenient if you don’t want to move your car in snowy conditions.

By Lift

  1. Get to know the key lift stations
Biela Púť (center), Záhradky (sporty), and Lúčky (wide access) are the main gateways — choosing the right one saves time.
  2. Plan South-North transfers carefully
Traveling between Chopok North and South involves using gondolas; windy days may affect operations, so check daily lift status.
